BIAN, the Bureau des Îles Anglo-Normandes, represents the Channel Islands in France. Opened in June 2014 the office is located in Caen, its objective is to develop and facilitate institutional, economic, linguistic, and cultural ties with the French government and its institutions at departmental, regional, and national levels.

Due to close geographical proximity, historical ties, and a shared heritage, it is not surprising that the Channel Islands and France maintain a close relationship and collaborate in many areas.
