DESCRIPTION:This second edition of The Channel Islands Contemporary Art Show is inspired from the diverse voices\, social realities\, ecosystems and global connections of the present day Channel Islands. Bringing together a range of artists and for this edition focused on a new generation of artists from the three regions producing this exhibition – Guernsey\, Jersey and Brittany\, France – it attempts to get under the surface of the worlds that colour our everyday lives and the interactions and industries that hold our communities together. With a commitment to a spirit of dialogue\, experiment and artistic rigour the Channel Islands Contemporary Art Show is produced by ArtHouse Jersey and Art for Guernsey and in association with Passerelle Centre d’Art Contemporain in Brest\, Brittany. Keep an eye out for the final announcement of artists over the coming months! \nFree entry\, no booking necessary. Closed Mondays.

SUMMARY:81th Anniversary Channel Islands Liberation
DESCRIPTION:Following the success of Liberation Day 2025\, celebrating the 80th anniversary\, planning is now underway for Liberation Day 2026. \nThe Liberation Day Oversight Board has started organising next year’s St Peter Port celebrations with several elements of the landmark 2025 event set to return\, albeit on a smaller scale as 2026 isn’t a landmark year\, such as the 80th anniversary. Work with parishes on local celebrations has also started. Food villages\, local stallholders and music stages will be on the programme. \nOther returning programme highlights will include the cavalcade and individual and residential hampers\, containing local produce for older members of the community. \nThe success of Liberation Day relies heavily on the generosity\, sponsorship and support of individual\, local businesses. 2026 will once again be full of opportunities to get involved and help create a day that celebrates both the islands’ heritage and community spirit. \nStay connected!
