Costal erosion visit to Jersey

On 9 September, a delegation from La Manche travelled to Jersey to discuss measures to prevent coastal erosion. After welcoming a delegation from Jersey in May, a delegation from La Manche travelled to Jersey to discuss preventive measures against coastal erosion. The delegation visited local sites to discuss climate change adaptation, infrastructure protection and resilience projects.  

This visit fostered positive exchanges between the Département of la Manche, Syndicat Mixte du Littoral de la Baie du Mont Saint-Michel, Communauté d’Agglomération Mont-Saint-Michel Normandie, Coutances Mer et Bocage and the Government of Jersey. A visit to the agglomeration of St Malo will also be undertaken by Jersey next spring in view of the same problems shared by the two territories.
